Arvestar is a new regulated Fund Management Company incorporated as a joint venture between Argenta Asset Management (Argenta Bank & Verzekeringen Group) and Degroof Petercam Asset Management (Degroof Petercam Group).
Arvestar will be appointed as the Manco of the Argenta pension funds (AIF) and of 2 UCITS funds totalling over 3 billion euros assets under management.
The Finance and Administration Officer (F&A Officer) is responsible for all financial and related reporting and administrative matters of Arvestar. In addition, the F&A Officer participates in the oversight controls on the activities delegated to third parties and will support the colleagues with projects / development strategies.
The F&A Officer reports hierarchically to, and works closely with, the Chief Executive Officer
In this role you will:
work in a ‘start-up’ environment;
be in charge of bookkeeping: keep accurate records of all transactions, process invoices, billing, control of A/P and A/R, treasury, reconciliation, …
prepare regulatory reporting, corporate & VAT tax fillings;
perform financial analysis and prepare MIS reports for the Executive Committee;
assist with budget preparation;
perform oversight controls on the Fund administrator, Custodian and Distributor;
participate in external and internal audits;
implement procedures to ensure operational efficiency;
be in charge of Contract & Legal documentation management for Arvestar and for the funds;
participate in the implementation of projects;
closely collaborate with the Group’s colleagues at Argenta (AAM and Aspa) and DPAM as well as with third parties (Fund Admin, Custodian,…);
report on a monthly basis to the Executive Committee.
master degree in Finance or equivalent with 3 – 6 years of relevant experience in the financial services sector (Audit Firm, Finance department, Consultancy, …);
affinity for Asset Management;
strong analytical/numerical skills and critical mind;
advanced Microsoft Office & Excel user – experience using financial software is a plus;
solid organization skills;
interest in financial regulations;
proactive, flexible, pragmatic with a ‘can-do’ mentality;
team player with good communication and interpersonal skills;
you believe that words like independence, team spirit, customer focus, ethics, sustainability and entrepreneurship are not just words;
very good knowledge of Dutch, English and (French).
